

Maine Perspective Project
Objective: Paint the town “Safe Passage” by having enough tags in enough stores that one could not help but become engaged. Include colorful tear-off tag with information about the cause they just supported.
Obstacles: Had to solicit donation to cover up front costs.
Partnership Strategy: Engage local retailers in a turn-key cause marketing campaign featuring colorful $1 hang tags that hung on clotheslines throughout the stores.
Benefits to Nonprofit Partner: Exposure to new audiences and a way to connect with current supporters.
Benefits to For-Profit Partner: Promotional exposure plus an opportunity to participate in a fun local cause marketing campaign in a meaningful way.
